Thursday - Loose
Same cut of trousers as yesterday; the Express Editors. I think this would be better with grey on the bottom instead of beige.

Tuesday - Seminar-wear
I tried this both ways, and in the end decided to wear my collar unbuttoned. I had a bit of an odd day; I had to travel to another nearby city (Bellevue) to attend an all-day seminar. Afterwards, I met up with a good friend who works in Bellevue. We got dinner and a drink and then bussed back to Seattle together.

Wednesday - Dress
I enjoyed wearing this dress - it is easy to wear - and I like the small amount of formality that the cream blouse added. The hose made the shoes a little uncomfortable by the end of the day - I find that fishnets tend to have a "cheese grater" effect - but overall I really enjoyed this outfit. Next time I'll just leave off the hose.

Thursday, Friday - Nature
Since the weather was cold and rainy on Friday I cheated and actually wore this outfit instead of my nature photo-inspired outfit. (-;

Monday, Tuesday - Nature Photo Challenge, New Coat
It's picture-challenge time again over at YouLookFab.com! This time, nature photos. First, elephants at sunset. I discovered that this cardigan has a snag and hole in the back. It's small, but not repairable, so it's off to Goodwill. The pants are more snug than I'm comfortable with, as well, so they may not be pulled out until I've lost a few pounds...
I biked to work on Monday, after over a month off. My tush is a little saddle sore, so I gave it a rest today. (-: I took these photos Sunday afternoon, since I knew I wouldn't get a good photo on Monday.
The aqua-colors of this photo of lily pads in an African delta are not something I have much of in my wardrobe. I used olive instead and brightened it up with lemon-yellow patent shoes.
Today there were some protests going on downtown near my work. Several business were seriously vandalized, and there was fighting, pepper gas and, allegedly, tear gas. A bank was apparently "fire bombed" (seriously, though, what do they mean by that? Not sure ppl in Seattle even know what that is, so I'm suspicious about what actually happened). Anyway, our management sent the office home early, because there was a march that was scheduled to start near our office at 5. I came home and took a nap.
Lastly, my new coat has arrived. It's a pale beige-sand color with a shiny finish (not as shiny IRL). I think it's a great weight for spring and can be dressy or casual. I'll be riding my bike the rest of the week, and I've got a coat at work for biking days, so this new coat will have to wait till Friday night to get some play time!
